The Rás na hÉireann USA 5Km is getting back to its Irish Pub roots in 2025.

​

The "Noel Robinson Sporting Paddy Gaelic Cup" will be awarded to the fastest Irish Pub Team consisting of a minimum of 3 runners either woman or man - top three on a team score.

​

Pictured is the 2003 winning Irish Pub team "Nash's Pub". Nash's Pub ruled in 2003 (l to r) Noel Robinson, Joe Robinson, Eoin Higgins & Richie Cowan....Joe, Eoin & Richie flew over from Naas, Co. Kildare, Ireland to race the very first Rás na hÉireann USA 5Km in 2003.

The very first Irish Pub to win this most prestigious running award was Nash's Pub in South Boston, Massachusetts back in 2003.

​

Only Irish Pubs or your favorite pub are eligible –please do not submit a running club or fun team name at registration.

​

Additionally, there will be unique engraved medals awarded to the first, second & third woman & man in the following divisions:

  • 14 & under

  • 15-17

  • 18-29

  • 30-39

  • 40-49

  • 50-59

  • 60-69

  • 70 -79

  • 80-89

  • Louise Rossetti 90+

  • Larry Cole 90+

  • Filly open & Masters (140 lbs & over)

  • Clydesdale Open & Masters:

  • 190-210 lbs

  • 211-225 lbs

  • 226 lbs & over

  • Clydesdale Senior Masters (190 lbs & over)
     

All Finishers will receive a colorful finisher medal - look for the kids of the Somerville High School Soccer Team passing out.
